Luster Cult is seeking a Sr. Character Illustrator to visually depict the inhabitants of our dark fantasy upcoming tabletop rpg, Blood Rites. As a Sr. Character Illustrator you will be working directly in our production pipeline, picking up tasks containing all the relevant details and requirements to successfully design each asset. You will be trusted to work with little to no oversight or management, at a pace and during hours that work best for you. Each asset you complete will go through a review process before being sent to publication or paused for revision. This is a commission based project, so the more tickets you contribute to, the more you earn each week. Our backlog currently contains 120 creature and character illustrations, with low, medium and high finish requirements. We estimate around 15 minutes to complete low finish designs, and up to 5 hours for high finish designs. Looking for someone who: Works in a fast-paced environment. Works closely with other artists to shape and ship deliverables. Has around 5+ years as a Character Illustrator. Has a deep knowledge of proportion, posing, characterization and implied detailing. Has the ability to translate details and requirements into designs that fit the style and aesthetic we establish, which includes armor, drapery and bones. Has previous experience working independently and within a production team. Has humility and a willingness to take ownership clearing revisions the team faces. Can take direction and guidance from an Art Director when needed. Has exceptional verbal and written English communication skills. Pay Weve budgeted 11,000 for all character and creature designs in total. All designs have a flat price depending on effort where low = 23, medium = 160, and high = 200. Price calculations are based on a 40 / hourly rate.
