Requirements: • Graduation in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Industrial Design Engineering; • Not currently a Volvo employee; • To have graduated no more than 18 months ago; • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Activities: • Support the design and development of BIW stamped and welded parts; • Learning from other sites, best practices of BIW parts development and bring to our local site; • Develop experience in different types of materials and heating treatments; • Acquire knowledge on legal and safety requirements, and how they are applied and validated during product development; • Assist in identifying and solving process and quality issues related to stamping and welding; • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (locally and globally), also including interface with Product Design area; • Participate in meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions. • Support documentation, benchmarking, and best practice sharing; • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design and manufacturing processes.
