In-Person Job Opportunity in Brazil Internal Combustion Engines Engineer - Reciprocating Engines & Turbines Job Responsibilities: - Draft research project proposals, develop and execute research programs, and collaborate with other engineering teams. - Author reports and scientific papers within the research field. - Develop annual budgets and manage project expenses. - Offer technical guidance in the realm of system engineering, integrating the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and combustion to validate advanced system concepts. - Engage with academic institutions, industry, and associations. - Document findings through technical reports and publications, and cultivate intellectual property (IP) through patent applications. Skills Requirement: - Hold a Doctorate in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. - Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience, whether in an academic or industry setting, with previously published papers in the field. - Hands-on laboratory experience in experimental aspects of reciprocating engine and turbine technology, including the use of instrumentation, execution of experiments, and data analysis. - Competence in utilizing engineering simulation and analysis tools (3D, such as Fluent, StarCD, Converge, or similar, and 1D, such as GateCycle, GT Power, Boost) to model combustion systems. - Experience using engineering simulation/analysis tools (3D such as Fluent, StarCD, Converge or similar and 1D such as GateCycle, GT Power, Boost) to model combustion systems. - Demonstrated ability to investigate, model, and offer valuable insights into complex physical phenomena. - Exceptional conceptual problem-solving skills, with the capacity to assess the overall problem, identify opportunities, and implement significant changes. - Demonstrates strong ethics and compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards. - Strong interpersonal skills, capable of multitasking, handling diverse responsibilities, and working independently, as well as collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative technological solutions.    - Proficiency in the English language (fluency).
