The datacenter technician is a specialist who provides our customers with all support and assistance regarding technical matters and deployment of new equipment and projects, either personally visiting customers site or following up on calls and being able to collaborate and/or assign tasks to other technicians remotely and monitoring to ensure the tickets are completed according to the quality standards established. The technician also provides instructions on new products and is responsible for warranty returns (RMA). The datacenter technician also participates in discussions with our global team, providing feedback and sharing day-to-day experiences, aiming at enhancement of our tools and processes and constantly improving our products and services delivered. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS Responsible for support, repairs and assistance in respect to technical issues, onsite and remote. Responsible for setting up the test environment at the customer site. Troubleshooting faulty hardware systems and provide appropriate solutions. Management of Incident tickets, acting directly on repairs or assisting on assignment of tasks to other technicians and providing remote support. Responsible for field support during integration projects. Responsible for customer satisfaction and service quality. Responsible for local inventory and processing RMA. Deliver feedback from customers to the appropriate team. Monitoring KPIs and development of management reports/presentations/manuals/handbooks. Follow guidance and work closely with local, Regional or Global leadership Special circumstances/Working conditions: Have your own vehicle and willingness to travel Be able to work on flexible hours and occasional overtime. The responsibilities mentioned above are not limiting and it is expected that whenever possible the employee can go beyond the aforementioned capabilities, exceeding expectations and thus creating opportunities for growth and evolution along with the company. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Excellent communication and social skills. Discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism representing the Company; Knowledge/experience in repair and maintenance of computer hardware, especially in Datacenter environments (Rack / Server / Cabling / Network); Ability to regularly lift and move server systems that weigh up to 30Kg. Attention to detail and accuracy while troubleshooting; Working knowledge of Linux, Windows Server and WinPE OS; Familiarity with SW and FW tools of various Server OEMs; Basic knowledge of MS office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint; Basic knowledge of inventory management; LINGUAGES Excellent communication in English; oral and written skills. ( Mandatory ) Excellent communication in Portuguese; oral and written skills. ( Mandatory ) Knowledge of Spanish will be considered an advantage. Abilities Strong ownership and ability to work autonomously. Ability to prioritize work demand, accurately estimating the time and effort required to complete each task. Proactivity to explore opportunities, identify potential problems and propose solutions. Ability to use time, energy and resources effectively to achieve established goals. Team Player and ability to work successfully with geographically dispersed teams and customers. Education Technical courses, specializations or certifications in IT. Higher degree (Preferably IT related) Experience Minimum 2 years of experience with repair and maintenance of IT products and services. Desirable experience in similar activity in Datacenter.
